We've updated the Kiosk allowing the Host additional choices on what "Singer Name" information is required. Hosts will be able to allow just a first name (Last Name optional), make a "last initial" compulsory, or force a "last name". If you go into the admin panel and click on the "eye" icon in the Actions column, you will see new options for the "Last Name" requirements for Kiosk users.

Host App - "Go To Top". A button has been added to the "Approved Requests" screen. Currently if you tap on a request or change the order, it will set a placeholder, remember you position, and jump back to that place whenever you return to the Approved screen. For SongBoss users - WCIS can now Sync with the your library stored in SongBoss. With the click of a button, you can now update your Songbook in WCIS to match what's in your SongBoss catalogue.What's even better - we automatically remove duplicates when using the SongBoss sync. If you have the same song twice, we will only pull one. But if you have the same song by 2 different manufacturers (and this is entered into SongBoss correctly), we will pull both. This adds to our other automations where we can "message your singers when their turn is next" and haing limits on the number of requests a Singer can have in the queue and a few other features.

Another new feature (setting) has just been released. We already had the "maximum number of requests in the queue" setting. But we've added another choice/option to it. Hosts can now decide if the maximum is "per singer's name" or "per user". What does this mean? Example - Let's say the limit was one. Per Singer's name means that I can make one request for me, but I can also make a request for you (once) and I can make a duet request for me and somebody else. Each of those requests is a new "singer's name". If the new setting is turned on, it doesn't matter if I change my name or add a duet or do anything extra, my device can still only put one request into the queue at a time. Of course, once I have my turn, I can then add another request.

For hosts using this setting, we would recommend that you do not set the maximum to one. Making the maximim "two" means that at least they can put in one request for a friend. All apps remain the same. It is just an admin panel setting.

A new Request status has been added. When a Host removes the "you are next" notification, Singers will be notified that they have missed their turn and will be called again later. It will also be displayed in their requests list. Singers can now use PayPal to tip their Host providing the Host has this activated. This is in addition to card payments through stripe. This will be advantageous globally. Additional dialogue added for banning a User when a Duet Finder is used. Hosts will be bale to choose who is banned or select "Both".

Duet finder has now been added. If you want to sing a Duet and you don't have a partner, you can initiate a Duet Finder. The App will message all other Singers at the event, and someone can choose to do the other part with you. Upon initiating a Duet Finder, the song will be locked out for 10 minutes where other Singers will only be able to join this specific Duet. After 10 minutes, a Singer can override the Duet Finder and choose the song for themselves. Update Host App to include support for the new "Duets Finder in the User's App. Requests made using the Duets Finder will include a badge to alert the Host. Ban User upgraded to accommodate the new Duets finder ensuring a Host can ban the correct person.

The Web Based User Version has had some tweaks. Firstly, it will also now show the button for "Host's Suggestions". Secondly, when a session is timed out, we are now displaying "Last Venue" with a "reconnect" button. That way they don't need the Venue code if they are returning to the same venue.

Hosts can now "Message My Singers" using SMS. For quite a few months now, we have been collecting "permission to send". This was improtant to comply with GDPR laws. In the admin panel you will see a new menu item - SMS. Clicking on this will give you a few options to choose so you can refine who you message. Complete the process and it will send them a text from our generic number. Your number is secure and so is the Singer's.

We've updated the way an apostrophe and accented letters are searched to provide more desired results - The App will see and ignore accented letters simutaneously (A search for Beyonce will find Beyoncé and vice-versa). Updated Facebook SDK ensuring future Facebook login access. Improvement to Dropdown boxes where location is not available. Improvement to tips where a Singer can tip a host without making a request. Singers can now see and leave reviews for each venue. Hosts can see reviews left by Singers. Improved notifications in relation to SongBoss integration - Hosts are now provided with a message advising them that Request Approvals are automated from within SongBoss when integrated. Updated manufacturers catalogues to include an option of using a list that is KaraFun specific. If you are a Karafun user, we automate the catalogue for you.

Major SongBoss upgrade - WCIS now integrates 2-way with requests. What this means - Managing your requests in SongBoss will auto approve requests in WCIS. It will also automatically "Notify next" for each singer. Plus When the song is complete, it will auto-delete from WCIS. The big advantage this means for Hosts - You can use our "Maximum number of requests in the queue" feature and it will be automated for you. You can use our "Notify next", plus our "Do not allow duplicate requests" automatically. It will automatically send a notification to the Singer when a request is approved. All of this will work though our App and Web-based systems. Plus it will prevent 2 people from using the same name.

Singers can now send a tip to the Host along with their Missing Song Request (more places where a tip can be added). Hosts now have the ability to restrict Missing Song Requests - they can now set a maximum daily limit for each singer. Workflow improvements. Improvement to search bar to make it more user friendly and intuitive. Update to wording when requests have been closed by the Host - it now says that the Host may reopen them if needed. When uploading song lists, Hosts can now choose column mapping when uploading a CSV of their catalogue (if their columns are in a different order to ours). Hosts can now use PayPal to purchase new subscriptions. We've added an improvement to statistics - Data is now displayed in real time. We also made some backend changes to allow for more features (that we are currently working on). In the Host App, Toast message improvements to display a more appropriate message for each situation. In songbook Management, there is now a bulk delete option.

Hosts - We have just released a brand new feature that many have been waiting for – Web Based User Version (WBUV). It looks just like the App but it’s web based. Singers don’t need to download anything and there is no login. Simply open your unique URL and they are ready to browse and submit. This means that you can now use WCIS completely App free. You can now have a dedicated URL or QR Code specific to YOUR venue. Singers can scan a QR code that takes them directly into your songbook - simply select and submit. The best part is that it is "cross platform". Out of town singers who might have found you because they are an App user can still use the App. Web, iOS or Android, it doesn't matter as they all talk to each-other.

Improvement to the map screen where multiple pins are available - There is a new message and information notifying Singers to swipe until they find the correct venue. Opt-in checkbox added where Singers can choose to receive future SMS messages from the host. Hosts can now "flag" songs. This can be used as a way to highlight certain songs. Hosts can also "delete all flagged songs" allowing for a bulk delete. Also contains a bug fix for “Singer Gone” - When it removes a song it will now re-opon theat song to be requested by another singer if Duplicate Requests are restricted.

New screen for venues where digital requests are turned off (“Show this screen to your Host”) creating an "Electronic Slip". Updated wording when a song search returns no results for clearer guidance. Improved flow for guest users accessing unique features. Added the ability to toggle between Search and Filter for quicker navigation. Hosts can now choose to prevent users from changing their "Singer's Name". Enhanced duet/group prompts (a "Duet" check box has been added) and fixed an issue with songs displaying in the wrong order. WCIS now integrates with OpenKJ. Once approved, all requests will automatically appear in OKJ. New button added in Host App – “Singer Gone”. Tapping the button will remove that Singer’s data (they may have gone home when requests were still in the queue). Many venue settings have been mirrored into the Host App meaning you no longer need to access the Admin Panel to adjust these settings.

New additions alert - If a request is song that is new to the Host's songbook, you now get a yellow highlight in with the request telling you that it is a "Recent addition".

Singers can now change the order of their requests within the App. Fixed the bug of forgot password where if user has signed up using Apple or Facebook only and tries to tap on forgot password providing phone number it will no longer say the “User not found” and will say “Please login with Facebook” or “Please login with Apple” respectively. Improved the display of the Roulette Wheel stand for Dark mode. Improved the display of Karaoke Roulette when there are no spin choices available. Host App - Bug fix for when a Singer has been deleted from the Singer’s List and a new request is Auto Approved. The Singer will automatically be added back into the list. Added functionality to accommodate for when Singers change the order of their requests. Screens will now Auto refresh when host updates a request status to “notify next”. Screens will now Auto refresh when host attempts to delete a Request that has already been deleted on another device when the settings are in toast mode. Auto refresh of lists now occurs when a User changes the order their requests. Bug fix for Missing song request timings - it will now display longer. In the back end - We added a checkbox to the add/update individual song form - this will allow including or removing the song from the karaoke roulette list.

Karaoke Roulette feature has been added to the menu - Singers can spin a wheel to have a song chosen at random. Bug fix for search in Favourites List. Fix so that "Withdraw" button is not displayed on a declined request. Improved error display when tipping is compulsory, and payment has failed. Host App will include a badge with Roulette requests to alert them. If any action by the Host fails, it will now trigger an auto-refresh to ensure they have the most current data.

Option added to increase interaction where the host can directly message a Singer asking them to come and see the Host - Hosts can tap on a "Please See Me" button. Improved display of on/off buttons - Wen a setting is off, the toggle/button will now turn red. The admin panel now contains an "Add to Cart" for purchasing subscriptions. When you purchase a subscription you will now be shown a screen that will display the details and provide you with some options. You will be able to "Save for later", "Create a new venue" and there will be an "Add to Existing Venue" button

Additional text added in the case where a song search does not produce any results (or spelling is incorrect). They will now see "No results - either the song is not available or there is an error in your search". Auto approve option added (to the Host App) where all requests can be automatically approved as they are submitted. This feature is sync'd with the admin panel settings and in the Host App. Update to improve handling of Daylight Savings times. Timings will automatically update if the venue location commences or ends Daylight Savings. If Daylight Savings starts or ends during the show, the App will handle this appropriately. Hosts using 2 devices (eg - you have an assistant) have improved handling of deleted requests. If the request is deleted from one device, the other device will be notified if they attempt to delete it also.

This update includes a major back-end upgrade, adding new venue types (Directory Only, Songbook + Pin). Directory will allow Hosts or venues to add the details of their events to our interactive map for free. Songbook + Pin will give you the Directory plus Singers can browse the songbook. They can save favourites and tip the host - it will create an "electronic slip" that they can show to the Host. Singers can now select their language in settings. Singers can choose to display the App in German, or Spanish for example. It also features enhanced security (encryption occurs one step eariler), better handling of venues with disabled digital requests (it creates an electronic slip that Singers show to the Host), and improved tipping options. Users can log in before selecting a venue, and kiosk behavior now supports multiple venues. Additional upgrades include handling duplicate requests (Duplicates are now based solely on Title and Artist and now ignore "notes". If the Host has the same song listed twice due to different makers, the App will treat them as the same song). Improved user account creation.

Feature improvements. Acknowledgement pop-up screen now contains a timer. It will automatically close the pop-up when the timer runs out. Display of duplicate location improved. If 2 identical locations are added, tapping on a pin will now include a "swipe until you find the correct entry".

The App will now remember a Singer's preferred key change. If a Singer submits a request with a key change added, the App will remember this and automatically apply it next time the song is requested. The Singer can still override this if they choose. Kiosk logout in "Dark Mode" improved. Hosts can now move and Approved request back into the "New" list. "Allow Duplicate Requests" now attached to any request rather than just those in the Approved list - If a request has not been approved, it will still count to prevent it being requested a second time. Hosts can tap on a Singer's profile image from the Song Detail screen and see an enlarged display of their pic. When a request is approved or deleted, the app will now auto-refresh each screen instantly.

Hosts can now choose how notifications are displayed - a temporary Toast or a Pop-up. They can choose it they want the assistance of an "Are You Sure" protection when performing certain actions. The Singer's List will now keep a placeholder based on the most recent Singer that has been opened - a yellow highlight will be placed on the Singer's name.

Toast messages have been changed to pop-ups in the Singer's App to improve information provided to singers. Further improvements to Kiosk mode. "Singer's List" in Host App now expands and collapses to display all of the approved requests made by that singer. Venue name has been added to the menu so that Hosts can be sure they are logged into the correct location. Font size for Singer's name has been increased.

Changes to the Kiosk account behaviour to better represent a shared account. A password is now required to logout of a kiosk account. Share options have been removed along with external links. First and Last names will now be required to help identify singers when using a Kiosk account.

Hosts can now "accept all" requests in one batch. Hosts can now swipe right to approve requests as well. If an event is extended after it had previously ended, the Singer's List will now keep all existing data.

Singer's can now see their position in the queue if the host has enabled this feature. It will display "Queue position:" with a number. Feature improvement. When a request is withdrawn, it is now even more visible in the Host App and the request numbering system now accommodates for withdrawn requests. The request will turn red with a "Withdrawn" badge and the previous que position number will now be removed and the side bar will turn red.

"Singers List" added. This is an automated rotation management tool. On this page, requests will be grouped by singer. When a request is made later in the even, it will be grouped with any previous requests. A personaly tally is also displayed - it will show the number of requests in the queue plus the number of requests they have completed. If the Singer has no requests in the queue or completed, the "zero' will be highlighted in red to make it more obvious. Button position improved - spacing improved to reduce accidental tapping. Hosts can now change the order of "New Requests".

The kiosk account will now automatically clear the search field after use. This presents a fresh unfiltered catalogue to the next person using the kiosk. Hosts can now undo the notification sent to a singer to say they are next.

Hosts can now use a "Random Draw" function to draw out Singer's names from the list of Approved Requests. Hosts have several choices as to how the draw behaves - including how many entries each person can have, and how many times their name can be drawn. This version is a completely new rebuild – faster and more reliable with many more features. Modern design with a focus on Ease of Use and User Experience. No outdated clunky websites that are difficult to use like all of our competitors. Singers can now see more information about events. They can add (and remove) their name to an events list. Singers can view a list of venues in order of closest to them ("List View" along with map view). Users and Hosts are able to choose between dark or light mode. More information can be communicated between the Singer and Host - Hosts can "buzz the crowd". Tapping on the venue details will Give Singers an option to "find directions" using Google Maps - we can show them how to get there. The App will now display dates and times of events including what time requests are opened. Singers can now send the Host a "Missing Song Request" if there is something they don't have. Hosts can customise the App including Company name and logo. Hosts can choose to ban and un-ban Users. Hosts can manually override the opening times and close requests early if they are full. They can also re-open if needed.

Singers can now withdraw a request. If they change their mind or want to leave, they can now simply remove any/all of their requests from the list. Hosts will be notified that a request has been withdrawn and they will be able to adjust their rotation accordingly.
